Refunds and Returns Policy
The provision of goods and services is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Lok8u will refund the purchaser in full within 30 (thirty) days. Cancellation of orders by the purchaser will attract a 10% charge for administration costs.
Lok8u reserves the right to cancel an order for which payment has already been received. This may occur if stock is insufficient or the quality of goods ordered does not meet Lok8u’s standards. Should Lok8u exercise this right, the purchaser will receive a full refund with no deductions.
If you are not completely satisfied with your Lok8u GPS Locator device, you may return the device within 7 (seven) days from the date of purchase for a full refund, subject to the terms and conditions below.
You must return the device in as-new condition in the original packaging with all components included, and you must deactivate your service by calling Lok8u Customer Support at +27 (0)21 913 8773. Lok8u will provide you with an RMA number for your return. If you fail to return all items originally packaged with your device, Lok8u may charge you an R250.00 (two hundred and fifty rand) restocking fee. An original receipt is required as proof of purchase.
For items returned within the 7 (seven) days period, Lok8u will refund the purchase price paid, less any restocking fees if applicable, and refund any prepaid charges for network services. Refunds may take up to 30 (thirty) days to process after you return your device and deactivate your service.
Returning your device does not automatically deactivate your service. You must call our offices at the aforementioned number and provide a cancellation notification in writing to cancel your service plan as well as to deactivate your service.
Limited Warranty
What this warranty covers
All Lok8u products are warranted to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of 12 (twelve) months from the date of purchase. Within this period, Lok8u will, at its sole option, repair or replace the entire product and / or components which fail in normal use. Such repairs or replacement will be made at no charge to the customer for parts, labour and transportation. This warranty does not cover failures due to abuse, misuse, accident or unauthorized alterations or repairs.
The warranties on accessories furnished by other manufacturers are limited to the warranties offered by the individual manufacturers for their respective products. Lok8u retains the exclusive right to either repair or replace the unit with a “newly-overhauled” (NOH) unit or a new unit or offer a full refund of the purchase price at its sole discretion.
To obtain warranty service, an original or copy of the sales receipt from the original retailer / e-tailer is required.
Note: Repairs have a 90 (ninety) days warranty. If the unit sent in is still under its original warranty, then the new warranty is 90 (ninety) days or to the end of the original one year warranty, depending upon which is longer.
THE WARRANTIES AND EVERYTHING CONTAINED IN AND ABOUT THIS WEB SITE IS MADE AVAILABLE TO YOU “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OR REPRESENTATION OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES.
Indemnity
LOK8U DOES NOT IN ANY WAY WARRANT A PARTICULAR PRODUCT TO BE FIT FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR APPLICATION, OR TO BE IN A PROPER WORKING CONDITION AT THE TIME OF SALE. IN NO EVENT SHALL LOK8U BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, WHETHER RESULTING FROM THE USE, MISUSE OR INABILITY TO USE THE PRODUCT OR FROM DEFECTS IN THE PRODUCT, OR IN THE CASE OF YOU REPLYING ON ANY WARRANTY GIVEN BY US OR ANY REPRESENTATION MADE TO YOU BY US, OUR AGENTS OR REPRESENTATIVES.
What this warranty does not cover
This Limited Warranty does not apply to devices used for commercial purposes and does not cover defects or damage caused by accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, fire, water, other acts of nature, power surges, unauthorized or improper modifications or repairs, improper maintenance, usage not in accordance with the product instructions, improper installation, or usage or storage in unsuitable physical or operating environments.
How to obtain service
a) Call Lok8u Customer support +27 (0)21 913 8773 for return instructions.
b) You must ship the device in the original packaging, and you must include the original packing slip and all items that shipped with the device.
c) Customer will be liable for courier cost.
d) Attach the prepaid return shipping label and return by mail.
